Orius Joins Roster Of Arcade Archives

Hamster has announced a digital port of side-scrolling shoot ’em up Orius, originally published in 1991 by Konami, under the series banner Arcade Archives for Playstation 4 and the Nintendo Switch.

Princess Irene La Tias of Planet E-Square has been kidnapped by the evil galactic overlord Klaus Pachel Bell, and the last hope in rescuing her and pushing back his army of bio-cybernetic war machines lies in the cutting-edge fighter craft Flintlock, developed from the mysterious life form Flint.

Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other on a global leaderboard.

Orius, also known as Xexex outside of North America, is out now for Playstation 4 and the Nintendo Switch priced $7.99.
